ME and My Style

My name is Ann Marie Grocholski and I am a family photographer and writer from Plymouth, MN.  After several years of being a non-profit executive, I took a leap of faith and began to pursue my passion as a photographer and writer.  I love to capture people's stories through photography and to see the joy in their faces when they view their images for the first time!  The largest influence on my work is as a volunteer in my community.  I provide Storytelling Photography Sessions families with a loved one who has special needs such as a chronic or terminal illness or other disability.   I have the privilege of photographing and writing the stories of these families and their beautiful children. Their lives inspire me and my work every day!  I believe the stories of our lives inspire and provide hope to all who read them.

My goal is to create an artistic collection of authentic, documentary style photographs for you, and if you choose, a written account of your family that will be a treasured heirloom to be passed down from generation to generation.  My style is heartfelt, full of connection, and warmth.  The goal for my photography is to capture the unique beauty of every person: their interests, their passions, their loves, and even their struggles.  All of these details are important and create an incredible tapestry of who they are.  My approach to each session is relaxed and fun!  Your session will be full of laughter, conversation, and real life!  I love to get to know my clients and create a wonderful gift of art, story, and beauty to bless them.

My main inspiration is my family! I have an amazing husband and three incredibly beautiful and strong daughters who are often my favorite subjects!  We are a family of faith and allow that to guide our every step.  We are travelers and make it our goal to expose our girls to a new part of the country or world every  year!  Italy was 2017, San Juan Islands in 2018.  Photographing our experiences is a big part of this!
